Custom title bar
AstoCAD is proud to introduce the custom title bar for FreeCAD !

This is basically merging the menubar and the OS title bar, claiming the empty space of the title bar.
The new custom title bar has:
- Application button, clicking it shows the application menu.
- Windows decoration (minimize, maximize, close)
- 2 toolbar areas, one of the left and one on the right.
You can drag toolbars from and to these areas. The title bar areas are locked by default, you can right click on the main toolbar area and uncheck ‘Lock menubar toolbars’ to unlock them. By default the left area has : The ‘File’ toolbar and the ‘macro’ toolbar (hidden by default). The right area has the tabbar workbench selector, and the help tool.
This has been tested on Windows only so far. Linux and Mac users, please report how it works please.
This can be disabled in the preferences, under the Display/UI tab

[dude, it looks really slick!
but, I can’t drag the window to manipulate its position. Usually, there’s a small blank space for the top-most window-bar, so that I can drag it around. There is nothing like that here.
…or I am just having troubling finding it. but i’ve been trying to find it for the last 10 minutes.]
Are you using linux or mac? If so it’s not working properly yet. I’m working on it today to bring the dragging to linux and mac builds.
This is an absolute genius idea! Gamechanger in my thoughts.
